Jacqueline Hid, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi! My name is Jackie Hid. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who utilizes a person-centered approach incorporating mindfulness, behavioral, cognitive, and solution-focused modalities. I have over six years of experience helping clients with mood disorders, family trauma, anxiety, adjustment disorder, and substance abuse. My expertise is crisis intervention and resolution. My approach I strongly agree with Carl Rogers, who developed person-centered therapy, believing in an individual’s potential and desire to change. One is capable of finding their own solutions to problems. My focus Stress management, relationship problems, family trauma, substance abuse, and mental disorders including personality, panic, anxiety, eating, psychosis, and mood disorders. My communication style I listen and support clients to aid in discovery, realization, and acceptance. My journey to mental healthcare Personal and professional experiences shaped my choice to practice psychotherapy. Growing up with a single parent as the oldest child, I naturally became caring, empathetic, and compassionate. I took on a motherly role to my younger siblings, soothing their distress. I often reflected on my feelings through writing, which sparked my interest in others' thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. People often approached me to share their struggles, and together we worked on coping and resolution. My curiosity grew after earning my master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Phoenix and completing my practicum at a mental health lock facility. My passion for working with people grew stronger from there.
