Psychotherapist
IL
You don't have to be in crisis to decide it's time to begin therapy. I bring 17 years of experience supporting people from a wide variety of backgrounds and identities, with a specialty in helping folks process trauma, addiction, life shifts, and shame. Everyone is welcome here. My sessions are primarily client-led, in which we make space for processing recent experiences or exploring stories and past traumas. If you don't have anything to talk about, that's fine too - we'll look at your goals for counseling together, and I'll offer questions and gentle prompts until you're ready to take the lead. We'll begin by talking about what's been going on and how you've been coping thus far. My focus is on creating a supportive space where you can show up authentically and move toward building a life that feels aligned and fulfilling. There's no pressure to have it all figured out or to know exactly what to say. I look forward to meeting you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

I take a strengths-based approach with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as a foundation, drawing from CBT, DBT, person-centered, and trauma-informed approaches as appropriate. There's no one-size-fits-all approach, we'll figure out together what actually works for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We'll begin by talking about what's been going on and how you've been coping thus far. My focus is on creating a supportive space where you can show up authentically and move toward building a life that feels aligned and fulfilling.
