“I was searching for a Trauma Specialist to help me overcome some challenges that I still faced as a survivor of child abuse. This came after my last therapist recommended this next phase of treatment, since she wasn't equipped to handle the trauma elements, and I have to say I couldn't be happier with the decision of selecting growtherapy and Jacqueline Rafter. She's been a phenomenal partner and wingman in helping navigate and address obstacles that impeded me from moving on with my life. Jacqueline has been authentic, understanding, but direct because I wanted and needed a direct approach to therapy -- I know what's wrong, but I need the tools, and mechanisms to help me overcome those hurdles that only a trauma therapist can help with. The website is straight forward and easy to navigate, there wasn't a million questions, and this insane personal identifiable information intake that most doctors / medical offices demand. Setting up the insurance is easy, payment is easier, and booking times with your therapists couldn't be simpler. The tool works, I was at Foresight Mental Health, and none of their tools worked, they kept switching tools -- 6 different tools in the 2 years I used them -- and countless headaches, missed sessions that I was charged for because my doctor had tech issues, or people (tech support reps) barging into our therapy. At one point Foresight resorted to google meets and zooms because their tools just didn't work, but I haven't encountered that problem with growtherapy once. I recommended this service to my wife, and I'll recommend it to anyone looking to get better. Give growtherapy a chance, you won't regret it, and if you are a survivor like me I highly recommend Jacqueline Rafter. She's been wonderful throughout this journey.”

Getting to know Jacqueline Rafter

I want to work with you if you struggle with anxious attachment, people-pleasing, setting boundaries, feeling triggered, anger, anxiety, depression, codependence, parenting issues, and ADD/ADHD. These symptoms and attachment styles are often related to each other and frequently stem from similar childhood experiences of inconsistency with caregivers or abusive/neglectful caregivers. (ADD and ADHD are not caused by caregivers; however, when undiagnosed in children, there is a strong correlation with the symptoms described above.) I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Indiana University South Bend and am committed to supporting you through these challenges with understanding and care.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I loved that Jacqueline jumped right into the issues. We didn't spend the session on any fluff. She immediately was able to help me reframe some thoughts in a way that I hadn't considered.
Such helpful clarity and guidance of patterns with well-balanced feedback and easy solutions to reflect on helps tremendously!
I'm so pleased that I was referred to Jacqueline. She's not only obviously skilled, but comes at therapy with a strong focus on healing and moving on, rather than ruminating on what brought me to therapy in the first place. Her approach is no-nonsense and not necessarily designed to make me feel good, but rather to give me the tools to move forward in life healthier and stronger.
Jacqueline dove right in within the first session. I felt safe and comfortable in sharing my story. She didn't sugar coat and had me immediately shift my perspective several times in the session. I appreciated her honest, straight forward approach. Did more work in one session than I had in previous therapy. Hopeful for what's to come... Thank you!
As an ADD person, it is easy for me to lose track of what my main goal is and I really feel like Jacqueline knew how to make me feel heard while also keeping me focused on what I’m saying. Writing important points down is also extremely helpful. I’m so glad that I found Jacqueline and for the first time in a long time feel confident that I can learn the tools I need to make progress.
I feel like I'm in good hands, and that really is saying a lot. It shows that Jacqueline specializes in codependency, and I love that she throws out the noise ("Who cares about boundaries -- if you have to make boundaries then that's not love") and reallybears down with reality checks. I would have also liked to hit the "Challenging" and "Empowering" buttons above. I know she has a plan, it feels like a real one and not a lot of words to make me feel good.
She helps a lot getting to the root of the problems. EMDR helps a lot. Easy to talk to. Empowers you to believe in yourself and what you need.
I feel like I really have a partner with her and that she is helping me navigate and better understand my own internal landscape in exactly the way that I need
Jacqueline Rafter has been great to work with. She helps me think through and process things happening now and things that have occurred in the past. She has challenged me to reconsider some thoughts (in a great way) and has offered guidance when I ask for a "So what's the next thing I can do to improve in that area?" type of question. She has been warm, and inviting, and I have never felt judged by her despite being in the absolute worst emotional spot of my life (which I'm sure comes across as yo-yo emotions at times).
