Psychotherapist
NC
If you are someone who feels stuck emotionally, mentally, or in life, feel overwhelmed or paralyzed on the inside, you've come to the right place. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions, burnout, relationship difficulties, repetitive cycles or the lasting effects of childhood or family trauma. Often, they’ve spent years managing on their own, until it becomes too much, ready for meaningful change, even if they’re scared or unsure where to start. If you're seeking a therapist who is honest but gentle, someone who won’t sugarcoat things, but who leads with compassion and real connection, I believe it would be a great fit! My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I meet you where you are and help you build insight, resilience, and practical tools. Whether you're looking to process the past or manage the present more effectively, therapy can be a space where healing begins and real change takes root. If you’re feeling emotionally exhausted, you’re not alone and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I’d be honored to support you in creating a life that feels more grounded, connected, and aligned with who you are.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first session, I’ll ask some questions to gather background information and get a clearer picture of what’s bringing you to therapy. We’ll also talk about your goals, what you’re hoping to get out of the process, and what you can expect from me as your therapist. Most importantly, the focus will be on building rapport, creating a space where you feel safe, heard, and respected as we start to build a therapeutic relationship based on trust and understanding.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My main modality is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with many aspects of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. This will look like identifying consistent behaviors, thoughts and feelings and working to provide alternatives. DBT will come in handy with distress tolerance and manage intense emotional shifts with the proper tools. I work with clients who may display trauma responses as a result of family or relationship experiences. The first few sessions will include getting more history on those experiences and how it affects you in present day. With trauma, finding tools to help ground your emotions is essential to being able to both process and implement changes. That will be the main focus in the beginning stages.
