Hello! My name is Jaime. I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Community Counseling from the University of Akron. I have worked as a clinical counselor for over 12 years in a variety of professional settings, including intensive in-home services, intensive outpatient, partial-hospitalization, community and office-based outpatient therapy services, and foster care. I have also served as a supervisor, assisting in training other counselors.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns. I specialize in trauma and substance use issues. Additionally, I enjoy supporting clients dealing with depression, anxiety, parenting challenges, grief, and mood disorders.
My therapeutic approach is to meet clients where they are in life and provide support and counseling to help them no longer feel "stuck" or "stagnant."
What should a new client know about working with you?
In our first session, I will get to know you, what brought you to therapy, and your goals for therapy. I like to work alongside my clients in a collaborative approach. My intent is that my clients leave their sessions with a sense of hope, feeling both seen and heard. If a client is open to it, I like to give "homework" to assist in developing and practicing coping skills in between our sessions.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Jamie is truly fantastic! She challenges me when I need it and has taught me about setting boundaries. She’s also able to bring humor into our sessions when appropriate. It’s very easy to feel comfortable and open with Jamie.
