Hi there, I'm James! I have worked hard to learn my craft. I continue to hone it every day in order to serve clients well according to the most effective ways of helping & the latest innovations in psychotherapy. I would love to help you begin a journey toward recovery, growth, and healing! My focus The clients I help come to see me with a variety of problems. Often, it's related to a current problem with a relationship, addictive habit, or an emotional state such as depression or anxiety. Some of the clients I have helped toward the road of recovery and personal growth were suffering from Sex & Pornography Addiction, Relationship Distress. My approach You may be recovering from addiction, childhood, bad relationships, or perhaps all of these things! Most people don't go through life untouched by trauma, anxiety, unhealthy habits, or some other issue that deeply affects them. I also know life's problems do not come with troubleshooting instructions, but I believe I know how to help effectively. My communication style I will ask a lot of questions, so you have the opportunity to elaborate about the reasons you are seeking the help of a therapist and how you view life, so you felt seen. I view my questions as directions to the truth about oneself and directions to where one may need to go. I will also provide direct communication when needed. My journey to mental healthcare I became a psychotherapist after pursuing other vocational interests in life that I determined were not my ture interest or calling. The calling to become a psychotherapist occured when I encountered other therapists in a professional setting and pursued the study of psychology and personality development and found myself deeply moved towards this. My goals for you I liken it to coming into the office with a heavy backpack that is burdensome. There, we begin to unpack it. Some things are left at the office, and other things are rearranged to fit better.
