Getting to know Jamey Marrero
As someone who has struggled with mental health and sought help, I have a deep understanding and respect for anyone reaching out for support. My desire to help others after overcoming my own challenges is what led me to counseling. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with eight years of experience. I have worked with clients of all ages-from children younger than five to older children, teenagers, and adults. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, parenting issues, family conflict, relationship challenges, and the many life changes people face.
My practice is client-focused, person-centered, and humanistic. I believe every person who enters counseling deserves empathy, respect, and compassion. I also believe that the relationship and connection between client and counselor are essential to progress. Together, we embark on a journey to help you reach the place you want to be. I use a person-centered talk therapy model with techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, strength-based approaches, and mindfulness. I have unique experience in art therapy and other creative methods, as well as a specialty in play therapy for younger children. Additionally, I offer expertise in behavior management, parenting support, and family therapy.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
