What should a new client know about working with you?

My ideal clients are those who are thoughtful, emotionally aware (or hoping to be), and ready to look beneath the surface of what’s feeling stuck. You don’t need to have everything figured out—many of my clients reach out feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of what they need. What matters most is your willingness to be curious and open to the process, even if that feels a little uncomfortable at first. I support individuals navigating a wide range of challenges, including: Trauma—including childhood trauma, relational trauma, and attachment wounds; Anxiety, depression, and other mood-related concerns; Relationship issues, such as communication struggles, patterns of conflict, or difficulty with intimacy and trust; Life transitions—career changes, breakups, family shifts, or identity exploration; and Grief, burnout, and emotional overwhelm. I have experience working with LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC clients, and I strive to offer a space that is affirming, inclusive, and grounded in cultural humility. I recognize how systemic stress, identity-based trauma, and intersectionality shape each person’s lived experience, and I approach this work with deep respect and care. I also enjoy supporting college students, particularly as they navigate identity development, independence, and the emotional complexity of early adulthood. I approach therapy with a trauma-informed, relational lens, which means I prioritize safety, trust, and collaboration.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My communication style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely heard and understood, not judged or analyzed. Whether you’re coming in with something big or just trying to sort through everyday stress, I meet you with empathy and genuineness. I work with you as a collaborator in your healing journey. In sessions, I try to speak in a clear and approachable way. I’ll ask questions to understand your experience more fully, and when I offer reflections or feedback, I do so with kindness and honesty—always at a pace that works for you. I take listening seriously. That means not just hearing your words, but also paying attention to what’s underneath—your emotions, your body language, and the things that might be hard to say out loud. I’ll check in often to make sure we’re on the same page and to see how things are landing for you. I offer encouragement, guidance, and I work with you as a collaborator in achieving your therapeutic goals. I aim to help you feel supported, respected, and empowered to grow. Therapy doesn’t have to be clinical or cold. It can be a human, healing relationship where change happens through reflection, connection, and intention. Becoming a therapist was never just a career choice for me—it was a calling rooted in a deep desire to support others in their healing. As I pursued my education and clinical training, I began to understand the many layers of what it means to heal. My work in community mental health and outpatient settings, helped me to find my passion in working with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I also witnessed the incredible strength people carry, often without even realizing it. What drives my work today is a belief in the power of connection—between therapist and client, and between individuals and their own inner wisdom. I feel honored to be a part of client's healing process.
