Hi there, I'm Jamie! Hi, I'm Jamie Harrison, and I'm so glad you're here. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from Shippensburg University, and it is my great privilege to walk alongside you as you work toward a better life. I know it can be hard to reach out for help, especially to a stranger, but I hope to make the process as approachable as possible and to work with you to achieve your goals. My approach I use an eclectic approach in therapy. This means I pull from a number of different evidence-based and trauma-informed methods to find what works best with your unique personality and situation. I often incorporate elements of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. My focus Anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, intimate partner violence, sexual abuse, addiction, general life stress, coaching, parenting. My communication style From the time we first meet, my goal is to help you feel at ease. I want you to know you are in the right place and that no matter what you may be going through, there is always hope. I also love to laugh and find joy in all situations. My journey to mental healthcare I consider it an immense privilege to help people. I've always been this way-back in high school, I was the one people would come to with their problems. I am an empathetic listener who genuinely cares about people and their well-being. I've been able to turn this desire to help into a career, and I am thankful each day to be doing this work. My goals for you I spend time listening and asking questions to gain a thorough understanding of my clients, including what is important to them and where they'd like to see change. We then work together to set treatment goals and check in regularly to track progress on these goals.
