Hi there, I'm Jamie! I know that starting therapy can be scary. But you have made the first big step in this process. I congratulate you on starting your journey, and I'm here to make sure that it is meaningful to you. I specialize in working with children, teenagers, adults, and couples navigating life transitions, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I take a client-centered, collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals. You are the expert of your story, and you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life, and I welcome you to reach out when you feel ready to begin. I'm here to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment where you can be yourself. My approach I am a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist (CBT) and believe that changing one’s negative and maladaptive thinking can improve one’s feelings and behavior. I also assist clients in developing healthy and successful coping skills. My approach is action-oriented and hands-on, and gives you the tools to feel more in control of your emotions and behaviors. Based on your unique needs, I may adapt my approach to include relaxation skills, mindfulness, and between-session assignments such as CBT worksheets and/or journaling. Your goals and progress are my primary focus. Together, we'll identify challenges and work on strategies to help you move forward with growth, confidence, and improved functioning. My focus Have you been struggling with anxious thoughts, depressive symptoms, relational issues, or lack of confidence? I work with children, teenagers, adults, and couples who are struggling and find their usual coping skills no longer working, yet do not know what else to do.
