I'd like to share some things about myself that go beyond me as a therapist because I think commonalities help develop rapport with each other. So, my name is Jana and I am from very rural Southern Ohio. I am a mom who is no stranger to the struggles (and joys!) of parenthood - I like to keep it real in sessions. I would describe myself as being funny (I love to joke), a free-thinker, and intuitive! I am chatty and I enjoy truly getting to know people that I interact with - a lot of the time people will tell you things that you find helpful for yourself! I am very problem-focused in sessions - I ask a lot of clarifying questions and really try to get to the root of an issue. If you are worried about not knowing what to say, no worries! I can totally fill any silence as I typically have a lot to say. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, pregnancy complications, infant loss, borderline personality disorder, narcissism, domestic violence, emotional abuse, complicated relationships with exes when children are involved and behavioral issues, binge eating, and PTSD stemming from domestic violence.
