“Jane always makes me feel seen and heard, in a way that I haven’t been able to experience before I began working with her. She isn’t afraid to push me when I need it, but she also knows when I just need support and affirmation. She had given me a new perspective on things in my life and I really look forward to our sessions :)”

Getting to know Jane Bond

My name is Jane Tazuko Bond; I’m a licensed psychotherapist of African and Asian descent. I have a private practice located in the beautiful Bay Area, which is mainly known for its near-perfect year-round weather and the diversity of its people. I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but raised primarily in the Bay Area. I earned my Master’s in Social Clinical Psychology from New College of California. My heritage, coupled with life challenges, has been a necessary part of my education and growth. As a biracial psychotherapist, I bring a socio-cultural-historical dimension to my approach to therapy, which weaves a psychodynamic understanding of the existence of what we call the mind. This marrying of the mind and its interrelationship with the world around us can profoundly influence our perception of ourselves, others, and our current situation. Therapy can help you develop new coping strategies to apply to your current situation, leading to interpersonal growth and other life changes.
