Jane T Bond, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
In my practice, I utilize an integrative approach to therapy that draws from several therapeutic orientations. It is grounded in a multicultural framework, acknowledging that one’s problems can stem from overlapping circumstances and variables beyond our personal experiences, including our sociocultural and environmental realities and the current state of our society. This interrelationship can have a profound influence on our perception of ourselves, others, and our current situation. As a mixed-race Black and Japanese woman, I know what it’s like to feel disconnected from your culture, to question who you are, and to struggle to find your place in the world. My background puts me in a unique position to help clients with various forms of identity struggles, dealing with microaggressions, and those longing for a sense of psychological home or wanting to feel healthier, happier, more satisfied, or complete in life. I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from New College of California, which has further equipped me to support clients through these complex experiences.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My practice serves to provide talk therapy online. Once scheduled for an initial intake session, during our first meeting, I review the paperwork you've completed for grow therapy, gather information to get an overview of your presenting issue(s) that brings you to therapy . During the intake, you have an opportunity to ask me questions about my background, experience and the therapeutic process. This first meeting is an opportunity for both of us to determine whether I'm the best Therapist fit to address your needs.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
