Getting to know Janell Garced

Janell Garced is a Licensed Professional Counselor, license number 37PC01028100. She holds a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Walden University. If you are looking to unlearn self-defeating behaviors, tackle negative thoughts, re-learn your purpose, feel heard, work on relationships, or possibly understand your children, let us meet. I am an LGBTQI-A supporting clinician who has worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, involvement with DCP&P, and those who just need someone to listen.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a bilingual and bicultural therapist whose goal is to support my patients/clients to feel heard and validated. I want my patients to progress and understand that their diagnosis does not define nor control them. I am willing to walk this journey with my patients and push them when they need the push, and support them when they feel “alone”.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My typical process begins with creating a safe, affirming space where you feel genuinely heard and understood, then working collaboratively to identify self-defeating behaviors, negative thought patterns, relationship concerns, or parenting challenges that may be affecting your well-being. Together, we build insight, strengthen coping skills, and clarify your goals so you can reconnect with your sense of purpose while addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, or family-related stressors in a meaningful and sustainable way.
