Janet Phillips, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
I want to help people surpass the problems of everyday life that prevent their full enjoyment of life. Some are limited in their ability to enjoy life because of trauma experienced while growing up or as adults. Others have always felt anxious or depressed and need to learn how to change their thoughts and, thus, their behavior so they can find joy in their everyday lives. Let me help you change the path of your life. My education and life experience, combined with a wide variety of professional experiences, have shaped me into the therapist I am today. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work from San Diego State University. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the medical field and as a Social Worker, helping people improve their lives. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I continued to grow professionally. My work experience includes Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital, Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, a specialized program for children with educationally related mental health problems, and now I work in my private practice.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
