Getting to know Janine Territo

Becoming a parent can be one of the most meaningful transitions in life, but it can also bring unexpected anxiety, sadness, intrusive thoughts, or a sense that you’ve lost yourself along the way. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and the emotional challenges of pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who are used to managing a lot on their own, but during this stage of life feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure of themselves. In therapy, we slow things down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and develop practical ways to manage anxiety, navigate identity changes, and feel more grounded and supported. I hold a Certificate in Perinatal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International and have training as a birth doula, which helps me understand the emotional and physical realities of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Along with my professional training, I bring personal experience with parenting, adoption, and blended families, and a deep appreciation for the many ways families are formed. My goal is to offer a warm, thoughtful space where you can speak honestly about what you’re going through and begin to feel more like yourself again.
