What should a new client know about working with you?

Let's try something new together as we explore problem-solving, emotional regulation, and navigating all those competing expectations. We'll discover where and how your learned patterns might not be serving you in a life lived BY you. Talk therapy, art, music, writing, popular media, gaming, & more are all on the table as we learn who you are and can be. I am kink/ethical non-monogamy friendly, and inclusive to people of all sizes, shapes, races, genders, and sexualities. If you have experienced deeply formative experiences surrounding issues of identity and/or health that have left you feeling alone, vulnerable, and scared to be yourself, we'll plan treatment together that will help you rebuild your self-compassion and inner strengths.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We will begin with a free 15-minute consultation to gauge whether you feel we are a good fit. The first several sessions will gather a great deal of information about your past, your family history, your history of the presenting issues, what goals you're setting for therapy, and what experiences you have had that make you more or less predisposed for the changes you're seeking. We'll set a treatment plan together, and discuss whatever diagnosis seems most appropriate for your care. Following that, sessions are typically client-led, and we will work through your goals at your pace.
