“I would have selected Empowering, Authentic, Direct, Open-Minded, Challenging & Intelligent as well, but it will only let me select two qualities that stand out. I've only had about 5 sessions or so with Jason and he's helped me think and work through things I never even considered before that I know will be really helpful for me in many ways.”

Getting to know Jason Magistro

Greetings and salutation, I'm Jason. Do you feel like you've been struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, or simply feel lost and unsure of what direction to take in life? Let me offer some refreshing words: you aren't alone. As an Existential/Psychodynamic psychotherapist with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Georgia, my primary focus is to offer a safe place for us to explore the dynamics of your inner self. I work with a range of clients who suffer from substance abuse, anxiety, depression, along with individuals seeking meaning, purpose, and connection to their beautifully unique and authentic Self. The space we build together is safe, sacred, and judgment-free so we can explore the deepest aspects of you. The goal is to help guide you in your search for meaning, in whatever way that might look like for you. Whether you are searching for coping skills to manage your anxiety or depression, understanding why you use substances to cope, or seeking the root of unresolved emotions that are creating conflict or may be present in your life, I am here to support you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy can be sometimes be a long process, and rightly so. Connecting with someone by being vulnerable and open about some of your deepest aspects of yourself can be scary. Therapy with me is whatever it needs to be. Previous clients of mine have shared how their work with me was honest, authentic, professional and compassionate. We can roam whatever space necessary for us to hone in and focus on whatever it is that seems to be the conflict in your life. My hope and expectation is that you feel heard, safe, guided and understood as we navigate through the dynamics of Self.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
