As a career mental health professional and educator with over 20 years of experience, I bring a unique perspective to walk alongside you on your path toward mental health, wellness, and life goals. I hold a Master's in Counseling from Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University. Let's connect. My approach Therapeutically, I like to walk alongside my clients as they work toward their mental health, wellness, and life goals. Typically, we will work within the scope of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Reality Therapy (WDEP). Meditation and other wellness areas can also be explored as desired. My focus All clients are welcome. My extensive experience in educational mental health has allowed me to work with a wide variety of clients over the past 20+ years. My specialty is LGBTQIA+ counseling with clients of all ages. My communication style The environment we create together will be encouraging and welcoming-a safe place to explore, express, and move toward life goals in a meaningful way. My journey to mental healthcare As a new teacher, I quickly realized that the mental health and wellness of my students were a priority over their academic success. This realization fueled my transition into counseling. My journey began in schools and expanded into community centers, college counseling centers, and district/county offices-leading me to my current position with Path. My goals for you We will approach goal setting by combining your specific needs and goals with my education and experience to formulate meaningful, attainable outcomes that we will work toward achieving together.
