Hi there, I'm Jaye! Are you looking for support and guidance with life's struggles, challenges, transitions, and/or loss? I have over 20 years of experience as a licensed counselor helping individuals, couples, and families reach their goals with compassion, non-judgment, and commitment. My focus I enjoy working together as a team with individuals, couples, and families affected by grief/loss (including divorce or death of a loved one) as well as anxiety, depression, high levels of stress, crisis, suicidal thoughts, substance abuse/dependence, OCD, ADHD, physical, emotional, or sexual trauma, and/or adjustments to life transitions. My approach My foremost goal when providing care to my clients is to provide a space where they can feel safe, seen, and appreciated for who they are as a unique person. I use predominately cognitive behavioral therapy techniques along with interpersonal unconditional positive regard and a strength-based focus as a starting point for healing and progress. My communication style I am compassionate and caring with my clients and provide a space for safety and non-judgment while also using a direct, honest approach for optimal positive change towards client's goals. I also believe in making therapy fun and enjoyable while discussing difficult or painful topics with humor, active listening, and being fully present. My journey to mental healthcare I knew since I was fourteen years old that I wanted to pursue therapy as my profession. I was so grateful, inspired, and motivated by others who helped me along the way and wanted to pass it along by helping others as well. I’m passionate about my work with clients because everyone has the right and capacity for growth, healing, and lasting change. My goals for you Therapy should be a collaborative relationship and partnership. Thus, we will explore what you want and need most then develop goals that matter to you.
