Getting to know Jayme Parvaresh

Hi, my name is Jayme Parvaresh, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s in Health Science from Antioch University, Los Angeles. I believe growth and healing can begin in a safe, nurturing, and trusting space. My approach I use a client-centered/humanistic approach to therapy and prioritize connecting with my clients. Other approaches I find helpful and use throughout the course of treatment include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), strength-based, solution-focused, and teleplay therapy. My focus I enjoy working with children, adolescents/teens, young adults, and families. Most of my experience has been in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, behavioral/conduct issues, adjustment and transitional-related concerns, relational issues, domestic violence, foster care/adoption, and at-risk youth. My communication style I have an open communication style. I am honest and transparent. I create a warm, positive, and empowering environment to help my clients meet their goals. My journey to mental healthcare I truly love helping others. Seeing the impact therapy has on so many lives is what drives me to continue the work I do. My goals for you I believe therapy is all about accomplishing the goals you, as the client, would like to achieve. I work with my clients to help them determine and work toward their own identified goals. My first session with you I typically use the first session to begin to get to know my client and help the client understand the therapeutic process. I explore reasons for coming to therapy and assist with identifying what the client would like to achieve. My goal for the first session is to create a welcoming and safe space that the client can’t wait to return to.
