IMPORTANT: Thriveworks cannot provide services to clients with Medicaid coverage. If you have Medicaid, please contact your plan directly to find an in-network provider. For all other insurance plans, Thriveworks will verify your benefits after you book through Zocdoc. If verification isn't completed before your visit, you'll be charged our self-pay rate of $200 for that session. AFTER YOU BOOK: Complete these steps to avoid cancellation or being switched to self-pay. 1. Check your email for instructions to set up your Thriveworks account. Within your Thriveworks’ account, sign consent forms and add a valid credit card, which will be automatically charged for copays, fees, post-insurance balances, and self-pay amounts. 2. If using insurance, upload clear photos of the front and back of your insurance card. 3. Expect a confirmation call from our team to verify your information and answer questions. CANCELLATION POLICY: Provide 48 hours advance notice to avoid the $135 late cancellation fee. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) serving clients in North Carolina and South Carolina. Before becoming a therapist, I spent decades in education as a K-12 Art and Special Education Teacher in the Chicago Public Schools, and homeschooling students with learning, behavioral, and emotional disabilities. I am trauma-informed and trained in EMDR, Expressive Arts, Person-Centered, and CBT, and am working toward RPT certification. I work with individuals navigating life transitions, relationships, attachment, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, helping them move toward resilience, authenticity, and hope. My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and strengths-based, recognizing that healing involves mind, body, emotions, and relationships. I draw from EMDR, Expressive Arts, Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, and play-based approaches tailored to each client's needs, pace, and goals.
