Psychotherapist
MA
I believe that positive relationships can be powerful vehicles for healing, reflection, growth, and eventually self-actualization. I specialize in and have a great depth of experience with individuals struggling with life transitions, complex relationships, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am here to provide you with a safe, open, and insightful space to empower you to respond to life's many challenges and setbacks. My approach I blend a variety of approaches to provide a holistic and client-centered approach, including cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral activation therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and solution-focused therapy to pursue your goals in therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy involves challenging certain beliefs - often beliefs that we may not have been aware of - and examining how these beliefs impact our behavior and emotions. I will help you to explore what beliefs may be contributing to certain behaviors and provide a competent and kind space to challenge these beliefs and experiment with behavior change. My focus Does change feel overwhelming? Do certain situations in your life feel impossible to deal with? I can help you explore the past, present, and future for the purpose of reprocessing harmful narratives and events, developing coping skills, defining goals and outcomes that are most aligned with your own values, and working towards living in alignment with said goals and values. My communication style My communication style is open, supportive, and non-judgmental. I practice active listening, I will be attuned to your tone, allowing for moments stretching from tears to laughter. I will be patient, and I welcome open feedback and communication regarding our work together.
