Getting to know Jeffrey Goodman

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who is dedicated to serving underrepresented members of our community. I earned my degrees from San Diego State University and I have spent much of my professional career providing education and community based mental health treatment, partnering with my clients to remove barriers to academic, relational, and emotional success. I provide mental health therapy in private practice in North County, San Diego and confidential tele-health through Virtual Visits, Doxy.me and Teladoc Platforms for all Californians. I serve adolescents and adults and specialize in the following areas; Anxiety Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder, Bereavement-Grief Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, LGBTQIA, Life Management Counseling, Men's Issues, Mood Disorders, Occupational Challenges, Parenting Strategies, Political Climate, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Stress Management, and Healthy Relationships.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My clients are real people like you and me. People who generally do well in life and occasionally run into speed bumps that seem to throw us off balance. Usually after building a relationship with a good therapist, talking through some of the challenges, and focusing on solutions, we are in a better place to take on the challenges that felt overwhelming at first. With a good connection and seeing positive change, it's nice to have that familiar person to return to for check-ins when needed.
