Getting to know Jeffrey Kail
I live in the Hampton Roads section of Virginia with my son and our dogs. I enjoy spending time at the beach or in the water somewhere, hiking, reading, and traveling.
I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 20 years and have worked in the field of mental health both, in-patient and out-patient, for over 25 years. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)and Rational Emotive (RET) therapies to guide patients toward a greater understanding of themselves with the goal of emotional equilibrium or “balance.” The large military presence in Hampton Roads has allowed me to work with active-duty personnel and their families.
I have successfully treated patients with depression, anxiety, Bipolar disorder, substance use disorders, and trauma histories.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I will guide you through the therapy process and explore your expectations. My goal is for patients to enhance their awareness of themselves and their respective needs; develop the skills to cope with their challenges; and apply those skills in a way to bring positive change.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Was this a doctor problem or a zocdoc problem? I don't know. Doctor didn't show and it was incredibly disappointing and discouraging. Especially having anxiety, mental health issues, it takes a lot to even make an appointment.
