Psychotherapist
MA
Hi there, I'm Jen, owner of Peachy Keen Counseling LLC. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Bridgewater State University and am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW). Do you feel like life keeps throwing you curveballs? Or are you still trying to find your path? Maybe you struggle to balance work, school, relationships, and other obligations. Or perhaps you're a parent navigating all the challenges that come with it. I believe you already possess everything you need to build the life you love-we just need to uncover it together. I help young adults and people of all ages develop healthy relationships and find balance amid life's demands. I provide resources and skills to manage and improve symptoms of depression, anxiety, and past traumas. Drawing on my background in education and child care, I also support parents and caregivers in their unique challenges. Overall wellness is an important part of my practice. I can teach mindfulness, grounding techniques, guided meditations, journaling, and deep breathing to support your well-being. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but my easygoing and warm personality makes it comfortable to open up. You set the pace and remain in the driver's seat throughout our work together. I see clients aged 18 and older only.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our first session will be spent just getting to know you, your goals, and your treatment history. I like to learn about what you have tried in the past and what has worked well, or not worked well. You will also have the opportunity to ask me questions and get to know me, as a therapist, a bit. You may notice that I utilize collaborative documentation, this means that I take notes while we talk. This is just to help my memory and ensure accuracy of your health record. When you work with me, you are in the driver's seat. I want you to feel empowered to tell me what is working well during our time together, and what is not. I will customize treatment to suit you, your needs, and your goals. I may also ask you to set a goal for yourself that you would like to accomplish between sessions.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
