What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel both hopeful and overwhelming, and I aim to make that first step as comfortable and supportive as possible. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. I believe that therapy should be a space where you feel not just heard, but truly seen—and where your experiences are met with compassion, not judgment. I work with teens, young adults, and parents navigating anxiety, identity concerns, grief, relationship issues, or burnout. Many of my clients are “people pleasers” or caregivers who are used to putting others first and are now learning how to take up space in their own lives again. In our first session, we’ll explore what’s been feeling heavy and start developing a plan together based on your unique goals and needs. My therapeutic style blends structure and flexibility. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based practices, adapting my tools to meet you where you are. If you’re coming in unsure of what to say or where to start, that’s okay—I’ll guide the process and help you build insight and momentum along the way. I practice under the licensed supervision of Andrea Piazza, MA, MBA, LMHC-QS, as part of the Dreavita clinical team. Sessions are held virtually across Florida, with weekday and Sunday availability. I welcome questions and will always take the time to ensure you feel informed, empowered, and supported.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other, discuss what brought you to therapy, and begin identifying your goals. You’ll have space to share at your own pace, and I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, patterns, and strengths. Whether you're feeling anxious, stuck, or unsure how to begin, I’ll help guide the process with care and clarity. Ongoing sessions are shaped around your goals and emotional needs. I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based strategies to help you build emotional insight, healthy coping skills, and self-trust. For some clients, sessions focus on building boundaries and confidence; for others, it’s processing grief, trauma, or identity shifts. You can expect a supportive, structured environment where growth feels possible—whether that means learning new tools or working through long-held patterns. I also offer group therapy for topics like emotional boundaries and anxiety in relationships. Sessions are held virtually across Florida. I work under the licensed supervision of Andrea Piazza, MA, MBA, LMHC-QS, as part of the Dreavita clinical team.
