Hi there, I'm Jennifer! Hello, my name is Jennifer Hesterman. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I have a wide variety of experiences and specialize in treating trauma in adolescents and children. I also specialize in working with domestic violence patients. My approach I utilize cognitive behavioral techniques as well as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral techniques. I provide empathetic understanding of my patients’ situations while also assisting them in moving forward to increase their ability to cope with life’s challenges. My focus I typically work with children and adolescents. I have also provided family therapy to assist youth in reunifying with their families. My communication style I am a calm yet exciting therapist. I meet my clients where they are. My clients have said they feel accepted, safe, and understood while participating in therapy with me. My journey to therapy I was challenged by a social work professor to continue my education as a therapist. I continue being a therapist because I have a passion for helping others. I enjoy seeing my clients succeed. My goals for you I allow my clients to create their own goals. I want them to have buy-in to their therapy, and the therapy I provide is client-centered.
