Jennifer Navarro, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
As a first-generation, Mexican-American LMFT, I help individuals and families understand their experiences and connect with their authentic selves. My approach is compassionate, culturally attuned, and focused on fostering self-understanding so that you can live a healthier, fuller, and more joyful life. Together, we can create meaningful change. My approach I approach everyone with compassion and validation, believing that the first step is to help you feel safe, seen, and understood. I strive for an integrated mix of therapeutic modalities to be as tailored to your needs as possible. I draw on themes from compassion-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma-informed approaches. My focus I have experience working with adolescents, adults, families, and couples. As a bilingual clinician, I can provide therapy in Spanish, as well. I have worked extensively with Latinx families. My communication style My communication style is open and collaborative. I listen intently with curiosity and compassion and offer insights that help you feel understood. I gently challenge you to help you grow. Our time together will include honesty, reflection, and connection to allow you to have meaningful change. My journey to mental healthcare I became interested in becoming a therapist after completing a trauma-informed training for working with adolescents held by the Center for Adolescent Studies. I learned so much about how we act and react to varying situations based on what we have learned throughout our lives. This piqued my interest in helping others understand their experiences. My goals for you I am your teammate in helping you get to where you want to be. We will work together to identify and define your goals. Then, we will determine the best plan and course of action for helping you achieve those goals. Together, we will get you to where you want to be.
