Getting to know Jennifer Renzi

My aim is to support you in your quest to make the most of your time in this infinitely painful yet endlessly rich and beautiful world. I have worked in rural clinics, schools, homeless shelters, foster homes, a prison psychiatric unit, and (via telehealth) in the suburbs of Silicon Valley, helping people struggling with life transitions, trauma, addiction, low self-esteem, loss, anger, symptoms of anxiety and depression, and other problems as varied as their life circumstances. I am especially passionate about working with people who may feel isolated because their views, personal histories, aspirations, spiritual beliefs, identities, preferences, goals, or lifestyles differ from those of others in their surroundings. I have completed EMDR training and have training and experience utilizing EMDR/FLASH, a technique for quickly reducing the distress associated with painful memories with minimal risk of re-traumatization. I hold a Master's in Social Work from California State University, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to provide compassionate and effective care.
