Jennifer Zamorano, LCSW

Psychotherapist
DE
I have adopted a solution-focused approach in my practice, aiming to help each client reach their full potential. With more than 15 years of experience working with children and families in various settings and nearly 10 years as a Therapist, I hold a safe space for everyone to explore and process challenges, discomfort, and fluctuating emotions. I believe much can be achieved in therapy, but the real work continues between sessions. Mental health is a very serious topic; however, I take a lighthearted approach. Over the years, I have gathered feedback from clients on what helps them stay engaged in treatment. Many people do not return for sessions because therapy adds heaviness to what they are already experiencing, leaving them feeling drained between visits. My goal is to create a therapeutic space where clients leave feeling "lighter" and confident about the realistic coping skills we identify together. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Florida International University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support my clients effectively.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During the initial session, I will gather important information to help me understand who you are as a whole (family dynamics, hobbies, strengths, challenges, mental health history, personality, values, support system, etc). We will collaborate to identify goals for treatment. Following sessions will begin with a check-in, psychoeducation, time to process and we will finish with a recap of session. Homework assignments may include reading literature, practicing skills, creating a wellness journal or completing a task to work towards an objective.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
