Jessica Adler, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Art Therapist with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University. I am passionate about helping people grow, learn, and heal, especially children, adolescents, young adults, and new parents or caregivers as they navigate the challenges of new life phases. My approach I view therapy as a collaborative experience. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to get curious about your thoughts, feelings, and history so we can work together to develop new understandings, perspectives, and coping skills. As a trained art therapist, I offer a combination of talk and art therapy, though talking alone is perfectly fine if art isn’t your preference. When working with young children, I also use play therapy and present myself as a friendly guide to help kids learn about and manage big feelings—a valuable skill at any age. My focus With a strong background in early childhood mental health, I especially enjoy working with children, teens, young adults, and caregivers. Common topics include attachment issues, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Because many adult emotional difficulties often stem from childhood experiences, this background is invaluable when working with adults as well as children. My communication style My communication style is warm, open, and grounded. This is a judgment-free space where everything is welcome. I listen carefully and ask questions to understand your perspective fully. I also believe humor can be a powerful therapeutic tool, so I like to bring it in when it feels right. My journey to therapy I feel fortunate to have a career where I help people move toward greater self-knowledge, compassion, and acceptance. I truly believe therapy is a gift not only to ourselves but also to those around us and our communities at large.
