Jessica’s mission is to guide, direct, and even challenge you for you to reach your therapy goals. It is important to Jessica to create an environment where you will feel safe and comfortable to speak about your life…both good and bad.
By taking a holistic approach to therapy, Jessica wants to work with her clients as a team in order to achieve the desired goals set by the client. Jessica has experience with different styles of therapy, which change depending on client’s needs, but typically leans towards utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and emotion focused therapy. Jessica has had much success utilizing techniques from these therapy styles in the past. Jessica, however, does not limit herself to one style of therapy because she knows that therapy is not “cookie cutter.” Jessica understands that every client has different needs, and she is happy to adjust and meet clients where they are currently.
In graduate school, Jessica was encouraged to practice therapy like she is in a “well lit room,” which taught Jessica the importance of being honest and transparent with clients. Her goal is to build a therapeutic relationship in which her sincere passion to help others is felt and seen.
