My approach My goal as a therapist is to first provide a safe space where my clients can feel free to talk openly and be their truest selves. My purpose is to offer therapy that is inclusive to all. Although I implement many theoretical models in my practice, my primary treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-focused, Solution Focused Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. My focus I am here as a support and provide a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere for individuals and families, building upon their strengths to achieve goals. My communication style While I maintain strong boundaries with clients, I think it is important that clients know that I live in the same world they do. I am also affected by life events. I don't go to great lengths to hide who I am, but I am always mindful of the boundaries in my role as a therapist. Creating a relaxed, safe, and supportive environment is a fundamental aspect of my therapeutic practice. I aim to help clients feel comfortable and secure. By building rapport and providing active listening, I strive to ensure that each client feels heard, respected, and valued. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist began with a deep-rooted passion for helping others at a very young age, by listening to friends. Later in my early adulthood, I had my first personal experience with therapy, which made me realize that this was the path I wanted to take. I pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Psychology- Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Clinical Counseling, which has provided me with a solid foundation in human development and therapeutic techniques. After earning my degree, I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
