Jessica Roth, LIMHP

Psychotherapist
14216 Dayton Circle, Ste 5, Omaha, NE
I am a dual-diagnosis therapist specializing in both mental health and substance use concerns. I have been practicing in Nebraska since 2020 and have extensive experience working with teenagers and young adults. I help clients navigate a variety of challenges using strength-based therapy, client-focused strategies, emotional regulation, and the development of healthy, practical coping skills. Person-Centered Therapy is at the core of my approach. I recognize that everyone comes to therapy with different experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals, which means there is no single approach that works for everyone. I meet clients where they are, provide support without judgment, and challenge them when needed to help create meaningful change. My goal is to help you recognize your strengths, better understand yourself and your emotions, develop healthier ways of coping, and make progress toward the goals that are most important to you.

Getting to know Jessica Roth

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a pretty laid-back therapist, and I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be comfortable being yourself. You don't need to come into your first session knowing exactly what to say or having everything figured out. I view our initial session as an icebreaker—a chance for us to get to know each other, talk about what has been going on in your life, and discuss what you would like to gain from therapy. My approach is Person-Centered, which means our work will be shaped around you rather than following a predetermined formula. I'll meet you where you are, help you identify your strengths, and work with you to develop strategies that make sense for your life. You can expect me to be supportive and nonjudgmental while also being willing to challenge you when it's helpful. Whether you're dealing with mental health concerns, substance use, difficulty managing emotions, or simply feeling stuck, we'll work together toward goals that are meaningful and realistic for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I like to start therapy by simply getting to know you. Our first session is an opportunity to break the ice, discuss what brings you to therapy, learn more about what's happening in your life, and identify what you would like to get out of our work together. From there, we'll develop goals and an approach based on your individual needs. I don't believe there is one therapy style or strategy that works for everyone, so I adjust my approach based on where you are and what you're experiencing. Our sessions may focus on recognizing your strengths, understanding emotions and behaviors, developing emotional regulation skills, building healthier coping strategies, or addressing mental health and substance use concerns. Throughout the process, we'll work collaboratively and adjust our goals as things change. I'll meet you where you are and provide a supportive, laid-back environment, but I'll also challenge you when needed. Ultimately, my role is to help guide and support you as you build the skills, confidence, and insight needed to reach your goals.
