Getting to know Jessica Slovensky

Hi there! I'm Jessica. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist with a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from The Citadel. If you enjoy authenticity, I'm your counselor! Not so stuffy here, and very much a "solution finder." In fact, if it looks like I don't have an opening on my calendar, reach out to me! We will get you in! I have over 20 years of counseling experience and use result-driven skills and a healthy sense of humor to help you grow. I value authenticity, integrity, and transparency in our sessions as I strive to foster trust and positivity to facilitate growth. I am an outside-the-box thinker and use various therapeutic modalities to help you achieve your goals, whether it is to reduce anxiety, make healthy choices, set boundaries with others, increase assertiveness, or address past unresolved issues. Originally from Charleston, SC, and now in Atlanta, GA, I am licensed to practice in both states. Outside of my counseling practice, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, walking, laughing, and learning new things. If we meet and I am not a good fit for you, no worries! I will help you locate a therapist who is more in line with your preferences. And if you don't see a time or date that works for you, send me a message. We can figure out a time that works. What should a new client know about working with you?

Sessions with me are focused on goals that we determine at the beginning of our journey together. I will always know 'where' we are to go in our sessions but will ask you what you'd like to work on each time. I am solution focused and enjoy teaching skills that will benefit you. I use visual aids as I find it is helpful for you to take notes or snapshots of teaching tools in session. You can expect to grow and to be challenged.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
