Psychotherapist
GA
Clients see me as passionate and sincere in my approach. I admire the uniqueness of each individual I encounter. I desire to instill hope amid hardships and guide clients toward healing and wholeness. I am passionate about coming alongside my clients and helping them reach the goals they want to accomplish in therapy so they can become the person they desire to be. My goal as a therapist is to provide a genuine therapeutic relationship and a safe space where my clients feel heard, welcomed, and respected. I hold a Master's Degree in Counseling from Colorado Christian University. Over the past eight years, I have gained experience assisting clients with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, self-esteem challenges, relationship and family concerns, social competencies, and addiction. My work has included roles as a therapist at a community mental health agency serving a diverse client population, a counselor at a residential facility for troubled teen girls, a staff counselor for men and women with substance use disorders, and an adult mentor for individuals with disabilities. In each setting, I have provided coping skills to help clients regulate their emotions and supported them in achieving their treatment plan goals. I enjoy spending time with my toddler, who has taught me to laugh when unexpected things happen, smile at mistakes, and maintain peace amid chaos and mess. As a trauma survivor, I find confidence in the words, ?a living hope that enables me to have both sorrow and joy? (Tim Keller). My self-care includes quiet time, prayer, being in nature, and enjoying a good movie with snacks and a cozy blanket.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide various CBT skills to help clients take charge of their minds to discontinue unhelpful and unhealthy negative thoughts. I also assign digital worksheets between scheduled sessions and integrate them into my treatment plans with clients, which has been effective in my clients' overall progress. I will also provide DBT and ACT skills for clients who need tools to regulate their emotions. There are many skills I look forward to sharing with my clients who are ready to implement them in their day-to-day life.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
