My name is Jessie Smith, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina. I have experience working with adults, adults with SPMI, adolescents, and families seeking support to overcome trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, parenting issues, anger, self-esteem, codependency, and other life challenges. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. I incorporate cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and psychotherapy techniques to help my clients navigate their struggles, offering comfort and support to overcome the challenges they face. My approach I utilize a collaborative and holistic approach because my clients are the experts in their own lives. My military background makes me relatable to a variety of issues my clients face. I am passionate about helping clients learn the skills needed to reach their goals and be successful as they define success. I believe in creating a safe, judgment-free environment filled with compassion and empathy, where you can openly discuss your experiences and become the best version of yourself. Your experiences and challenges are unique, and so should be the therapeutic approach we use. We all face hard times and difficult challenges; however, we do not have to face them alone. My focus Stress, Anger, Depression, Self-Esteem, Life Transitions, Men's Issues, ADHD, Infidelity, Divorce/Breakup, Relationships, Trauma/PTSD, Grief/Loss, Anxiety, Coping Skills My communication style I am very casual, and although we will have a professional therapeutic relationship, I encourage my clients to speak directly and frankly with me, as they would with anyone in their personal lives.
