Jill Brick, LCSW

Psychotherapist
IL
Hi there, I'm Jill Brick, LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University. I have experience working with a variety of ages—children, pre-teens, teens, young adults, the elderly, couples, and families. I have extensive experience supporting individuals struggling with negative self-talk, anxiety, suicidal ideation, trauma, grief, anger, and family conflict. I guide clients by empowering them with healthy coping strategies to manage negative self-talk, anxiety, and depression, while setting realistic goals that improve overall well-being. My approach Therapy sessions typically involve one or a combination of the following: Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), a type of psychotherapy that helps individuals address current problems and improve their quality of life. CBT is often used to treat mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, and PTSD but can also benefit other mental and physical health issues. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) helps individuals manage emotions and improve quality of life; it stems from CBT and is frequently called "talk therapy." Behavioral therapy focuses on changing behaviors that cause problems, based on the idea that behavior is learned and can be modified through specific strategies. Family systems therapy views families as systems and focuses on relationships and dynamics within them, aiming to solve problems by examining patterns and interactions within the family unit. My focus Teens, young adults, adults, elderly, couples, and families. Areas of focus include depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, family conflict, divorce, relationship problems, parent support, work challenges, and grief.
