My training and expertise include trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, substance abuse, and parenting. I have enjoyed working with adults, youth, and families facing life's stressors related to relationships, trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, and other concerns. I also have experience counseling individuals in the LGBT community, providing a safe space to discuss their unique challenges in a world where their lifestyle is often viewed as ?alternative? but is simply reality. The therapeutic modality I use most is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because it helps you change your narrative by transforming negative thought patterns into positive ones. This means you have the power to change your perspective simply by making a decision. Essentially, you are the captain of your ship, and I have the pleasure of assisting you in mapping out and navigating your path. Additional modalities I use include Person-Centered Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. While we cannot control everything that happens in our lives, we can choose how we respond.
