Change is hard. It can be a scary and lonely path to navigate, and that bravery and courage to show up is a huge step. Working with people to find authenticity and live the life they want is my ultimate passion. I primarily work with adults, utilizing a collection of techniques and experience to figure out the best course of action and individualized treatment plan. Therapy is not one size fits all. I pull from tools related to CBT, DBT, EMDR, Mindfulness, family systems to help you learn to restructure your thoughts, set goals and feel motivated to make the changes you want. View 4 Photos My specialties are include working with couples, alcohol and substance, anger management, parenting, self esteem, adult children of alcoholics and family members, stress, women's issues, life transitions, depression, anxiety, and stress from relocation. I also can incorporate Christian values in counseling if requested. With over 32 years of experience, I am ready and excited to help you meet your goals and find a more authentic way of living. The first step of reaching out is one of the hardest. Thank you for considering me to be a part of your journey - seeing people grow and change is one of my favorite things. I have a Bachelor's degree in Child Development and a Master's degree in Counseling from Cal State Fullerton, CA and San Diego State University, CA. I am native to California but consider my past 9 years in Texas to be wonderful and welcome "new home." I have worked in foster care with abused children, hospitals and many recovery centers for alcohol and drug abuse and have found a niche there as well. I can provide Christian counseling only upon request, other wise all of your values and beliefs will always be honored and respected.
