Joanna Jeremy, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I am Joanna. Have you ever gone to therapy and found it hard to open up because the sessions felt rigid and impersonal, and maybe you felt judged? In my practice, my goal is to lead sessions in a non-judgmental way, with the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives. I like to describe my relationship with clients as a relationship among equals. My role in the session is to help you process some of the challenges you are experiencing and offer skills that can help create the change you want to see in your life. I hold a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s College of California. My theoretical orientation is dialectical behavioral therapy, and I try to hold the balance between acceptance and change. This means accepting that although things might be difficult at this moment, we can learn new behaviors so life can be improved. My goal is really to help clients increase their overall satisfaction in life and relationships. I am also trained in trauma work to help clients process traumatic experiences.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
