Joanne Levine, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and throughout my career as a therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan, with a focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, and life transitions. My primary goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported—whether you're navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, or simply feeling stuck. I believe healing is a layered process, and that we are always growing and evolving. I integrate mindfulness practices and take into account your cultural background and environment to provide personalized, evidence-based care. My mission is to support lasting, meaningful change tailored to your unique journey. My approach Drawing on client-centered, trauma-informed practices, I provide a safe and warm environment as a way to encourage a restorative emotional experience. I use a collaborative, strengths-based approach to gently challenge negative perceptions, work with the individual’s unique strengths and interests, and evaluate and explore coping mechanisms to foster growth and healing. My experience includes historical trauma, post-traumatic stress, aging, LGBTQ+ issues, depression, and anxiety. My focus As a therapist, my work is centered around you — your needs, your pace, your goals. I believe healing begins when people feel heard, respected, and truly seen. My approach is client-focused, meaning our sessions are shaped by your experiences, your voice, and what matters most to you. I provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can explore life’s challenges safely. Whether you're coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, or navigating transitions, we will work together to uncover strengths, identify patterns, and develop practical strategies to support meaningful change. I honor each client’s individuality — there is no one-size-fits-all therapy.
