Hi, my name is Joanne, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of clinical experience. I am also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. For the past 16 years, I have provided substance abuse treatment in both inpatient and outpatient programs, as well as telehealth services for the military, including active duty and retired Sailors, Marines, and their dependents with the USMC and USN. Additionally, for the last two years, I have offered telehealth counseling services privately through Grow Therapy and BetterHelp. I have experience working with teens and their families, providing individual, group, and family therapy in both California and New York. My clinical work spans several settings, including residential treatment centers, day treatment/school programs, and community-based programs, with a specialization in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I have received specialized training in facilitating parenting groups and classes using the S.T.E.P. (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) approach. I graduated from Fordham University in New York with a Master's in Social Work and from Marist College with a Bachelor's degree. I am licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in California and as a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
