Psychotherapist
OH
Hello, I'm Jodi, an independently licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Ohio. With a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and 26 years of experience, I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges and transitions. My journey in mental health began while teaching grades 7-12 math and sciences in a private school, where I earned my Master's degree. Since then, I have dedicated myself to supporting diverse populations, including at-risk youth, trauma survivors, and foster families, through both individual and group therapy sessions. My therapeutic approach is rooted in trauma-informed care and systems therapy. I believe in the power of understanding the complex dynamics within families and the broader systems that impact their lives. This holistic perspective allows me to provide comprehensive support tailored to each client's unique needs. I am also committed to building strong professional relationships with various agencies and organizations, such as juvenile and adult court systems, child protective services, school districts, and the Division of Human Trafficking Coalition, to ensure a collaborative and wrap-around approach to care. I specialize in a wide range of areas, including perinatal support, anger management, anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum support, depression, family relationships, gender identity, LGBTQIA+ support, PTSD, stress, trauma, eating disorders, intimate and romantic relationships, sex and intimacy issues, bipolar disorder, grief and bereavement, life transitions, and spirituality. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, develop coping strategies, and work towards healing and growth. On a personal note, I have been married for 31 years and am a proud mother of five children and grandmother of four. I enjoy reading, spending quality time with my family, and continually expanding my knowledge as a clinician. Currently, I am pursuing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Forensic Psychology, which further enriches my practice. If you're looking for a compassionate and experienced therapist to support you on your journey, I would be honored to work with you. Let's take the first step together towards a brighter and more fulfilling future.
