Joelle Burkett is a Licensed Senior Psychological Examiner in Tennessee who has been practicing since 1998. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Anthropology from the University of Tennessee and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Austin Peay State University. Joelle received her license as a Psychological Examiner and her Senior Psychological Examiner license from the State of Tennessee.
Joelle has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution focused Therapy and Trauma Focused Therapy. She feels that each individual requires an individualized treatment plan. Therefore, she uses different aspects of her training depending on the needs of the client. Typically, a good mixture of each type of treatment, with differing aspects highlighted depending on the needs of the client, has worked best in her years of practicing treatment.
In her spare time, Joelle enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family cooking, hiking, watching movies or exploring new places. She also has a Yorkie that is typically attached to her ankle at all times that she adores. Joelle loves to travel to new places when she can.
