Getting to know Johanna Subia

Finding the right therapist can be a hard and scary process. It takes tremendous courage and strength to begin therapy, and it is my goal to work collaboratively with my clients to help them achieve their therapeutic goals. I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. I have experience working with children, teens, and adults to help them create meaningful change in their lives. I believe in offering a judgment-free space where my clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to improve their overall quality of life. I am trained in several evidence-based practices such as CBITS and CBT and draw from a variety of social work theories to support my clients. I possess expertise working within a variety of settings, including community mental health and school-based environments. My primary experience includes working with children, adolescents, and their parents on a wide range of concerns such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief and loss. I hope to support you on your journey to mental and emotional wellness.
