Hi there, I’m John. Are you and your partner desiring ways to rebuild the relationship and develop trust and commitment? Do you want to build understanding instead of wanting to win in a conflict? Would you like to learn skills to feel emotionally safe and take risks to express difficult feelings? Do you desire a stronger connection and an enduring partnership?

I counsel couples in a variety of couple relationships—partners struggling in a marriage/ long term relationship, partners considering a marriage/long term relationship, remarried couple with blended families, cohabitating couples, and military couples. I provide couples ways to overcome problems with infidelity, unresolved conflicts, a separation, or substance use.
I use relationship assessment tools to identify key relationship difficulties. I teach couples the art and science of love based on research. Couples will learn the practical skills they can use every day by how they talk, listen, and act. I help couples transform emotional distance and loneliness into connection with purpose and meaning.
