Jay is a great therapist! I felt very comfortable with him; like talking to a good friend. He brings a lot of wisdom to the session, which goes by fast because it is enjoyable and engaging. I highly recommend him!

Jay is awesome. Great listener, great advice and ways to work through issues. Relatable. Only issue is being located in MA my insurance would not cover services unless I was in CT, or ME. PHYSICALLY needed to be in those two states. Not a Jay thing at all but something to be cognizant of.

Verified patientVideo visit
It was a very comfortable conversation. Some standard background questions but it was more like a conversation than a Q and A type of appoint. I highly recommend him for anyone feeling awkward about getting started with therapy. I’m looking forward to working with him going forward.

Jay is incredibly helpful and I highly recommend him. He is the best therapist I have ever had and I have been seeing a multitude of therapists most of my life. Jay is the only one who has been able to give me valuable direction on my PTSD. He seems to have a grasp of what I am dealing with like no therapist I have ever worked with. I no longer feel like I am in a bubble all by myself with no one who understands what I am dealing with. Seeing Jay over this last year has truly changed my life and allowed me to live a better life, one filled with less anxiety, less panic, and less of the fear that comes with PTSD. Jay was able to help me put it all in perspective and I finally feel like I have a good amount of control over my mental issues. I am living a life where I don't live in fear. I am not afraid of what is to come, and his perspective has allowed me to feel comfortable that I am capable of dealing with what comes through my stress, anxiety, and PTSD.
I highly recommend Jay White. I have been seeing him as a metal health counselor for several years. I appreciate his ability to listen, his care, and his candor when necessary. His approach is welcome for someone like myself was not very familiar with mental health treatment. He’s been great helping me find the words to express myself and take my time with adjusting to a new kind of health management.
Therapeutic therapy. It is a rare find to find someone that actually listens and doesn't rush you through algorithms and screening questions and out the door. The safe place format Jay provides in sessions creates an environment where REAL problems can be addressed and resolved. I can't say enough. I can say, "Thank you Jay."
John White from the beginning has held an open, honest and accessible line of communication with me. Upon meeting him he struck me as a calm, measured and non-judgmental professional. Mr. White has helped my process and navigate difficult situations in my own life when it was difficult to disclose such information to my personal circle of friends and family. If you need counseling or just a empathic shoulder to lean on I highly recommend Courage Ahead counseling.
When I was looking for a counselor Jay took me in right away that weekend. He was flexible and we were able to work with each other’s schedule. Overall, when I went to see Jay he took the time to listen to my situation and provide me feedback and advice on what I could do to make myself better and overcome the situation I was dealing with. He is someone who would never judge and do the best that he can to help you with anything that you are dealing with. I highly recommend booking with him I’m positive that you will feel new when going to the sessions and slowly begin to heal with time. When I struggled to open up about a lot of things that have happened in my life time he made me comfortable opening up. It was nice also we were able to relate on similar topics. 10/10 don’t stop what you’re doing Jay!
