Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. Engagement in therapy or counseling can be a big step, and with that understanding, I want to commend you on your decision to start. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Master’s Addiction Counselor with over 15 years of experience. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Southern University at New Orleans. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys. My background includes Clinical Assessments and Diagnosis, Individual and Family Counseling/Therapy, and Crisis Intervention. I specialize in Trauma, Anxiety, and Depression and have worked in various settings, including medical, community, and psychiatric stabilization environments. I am also a proud member of the National Association of Social Workers and other professional organizations. My approach I believe therapy is a collaborative process. We all have a place where we are in the present and a destination we want to reach. My approach is to work together with you to not only recognize the obstacles and challenges you face but also to discover the steps needed to arrive at your desired destination. Whether you’re dealing with addiction, adolescent and teen mental or behavioral health issues, anger management, grief, life transitions, a history of psychosis, spiritual challenges, life stress, or trauma (past or present), I am here to support you. My focus I believe there is no “ideal client.” Every person is best served by being met where they are, considering all circumstances and experiences that have led to seeking therapeutic or counseling services. My focus is to ensure that each client receives personalized engagement, utilizing various skills and techniques to reach an agreed-upon goal as expressed by the client, while recognizing the client as a person in progression.
